Caiçara Pousada is located on the sands of Praia do Abraão, one of more than hundred beaches of Ilha Grande. All of the 193 km2 of lush Atlantic Forest on Ilha Grande are within the Tamoios Environmental Protection Area (APA).
Beach of Lopes Mendes
Considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Brazil, Lopes Mendes is a must-see.
Beach of Santo Antônio
It is a small beach located on the open ocean side of Ilha Grande. She is the neighbor of the beautiful Lopes Mendes.
Dois Rios beach
As the name says, this beach has in each corner a river of transparent waters that meet the sea making a beautiful mirror of water. It has housed the Maximum Security Penitentiary Cândido Mendes, imploded in 1994. Enjoy and visit the Museu do Cárcere, inaugurated in 2009, it gives a wide and complete panorama of the history of Ilha Grande.
Caxadaço beach
This tiny beach of only 15 meters has a great beauty. Uninhabited, it is located on the open to ocean side of the island.

At the end of Abraão beach begins a trail that extends across five small and charming beaches.

This part of Ilha Grande is especially beautiful and rich in history. There are the ruins of what was once an immense complex of about 15 buildings, which housed a lazareto, later transformed into a prison.
Cachoeira da Feiticeira waterfall
It is located in the Bay of the Stars this waterfall has its access from Abraão beach.
Saco do Céu Bay
This fantastic setting, once home to pirates, is a natural nursery surrounded by mangroves filled with small fish and crustaceans. Its calm and clear waters attract sailors from all over the world. Another attraction aside is the excellent restaurants on site.
Pico do Papagaio
It is the second highest point of the Great Island with approximately 900 meters of altitude, from that height one can imagine the scenery that reveals itself to those who overcome the walk. It ascent can last from three and a half to four hours. The walk is done on a closed trail and requires the presence of an accredited guide.
Lagoa Azul
It is a piece of sea that lies between Ilha Grande and two other smaller islands that assume colors ranging from deep green to crystalline blue. Ideal for scuba diving.
Lagoa Verde
This tour goes almost half the coast line of the Island and allows a beautiful panorama. It lies inside of the Bay of Ilha Grande, facing the mainland.
